~fete de la musique~ 06

now i remember what i was forgetting to blog bout... 17th june was the day ... i waited for the fete de la musique for one year already after hearing bout it from a fren.... and to me it didnt disappoint .... i had a great time enjoyin what music truly offers to ppl... however from what i heard it wasnt as good as last years one... but that only had me thinkin if i thought this years one was awesome... what would last years one have been like.... okok let me give u a brief outline wat it was bout... basically this music festival is from france and is celebrated on the streets in france... and everyone just goes out onto the streets and parties...... imagine one whole day of partying...enjoyin music and chilling with frens... the music to me was quite ok.. but more importantly was the spending time with frens and doin things without really thinkin and just letting go... i actually kinda headbanged... listen to the rock music and all.. i have to admit not really a huge rock fan ..just a so so one.. but then at the music festival somethin just came upon me..and i enjoyed it... there were like five us only headbanging, jumping around in the middle listening to the bands.. and there was this one band that really caught my attention... FREQUENCY CANNON.... malaysian band, hitz.fm blast off winners... they're coming out with an album soon.. and their songs are awesome ,... esp girl and FAME AND GLORY... i was so taken aback by their performance that i straight away went up to the lead singer and asked where can i get their album.... i just had to blog bout this bcoz i hope to somehow reach out to those out there and tell them there is still hope in the malaysian music scene... and if they were to come out with their own album...i would buy the original.... besides that there was also performances by vespertin, one buck short, kishore's band BORANGE(sadly missed that one..should have given my support...but i'll catch it on vid..), and alot of other acts... there was a capoeira performances..quite interesting that one... Basically to me even though i had exams the followin monday... it was a worthwhile experience...and no regrets watsoever for sacrificing time to study to come for the fete de la musique...a simply amazing experience..reallly looking fwd to other music festivals should they come by....

the begInNing of onE event is thE enD of anotHEr stoRy....

WOooooo HOooo... eXams are over....the world cup is underway... and i'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
days of lepaking, sleeping , lazing around , partyin, watchin tv, onlining and of coz having funn.......... after what seemed like an eternity suddenly exams were over... after the exams went out with frens.. duresh, vicky ,azraai, mukesh and my man jeyan... in ampang... had a great time...we were at the makan shop from 7 till 12...can u believe that... had a great time...talked bout loads of stuff... it had me reminiscing bout the past 1 year...how it passed by... so fast... what had happened.. what may have happened...what didnt happen... jeyan me and azraai talked bout how sports is so influential in life..sometimes it just gives all of us that extra drive,... tat extra purpose... tat extra lift to go that extra mile... lets us enjoy the finer things in life...sports is a religion...sports is life and all that it could be... am i wrong jeyan?? apart from that i'm sure many have seen the world cup ads on tv...one of the ads has particulary caught me attention... the one where they say what football does for u... makes u proud.. supports u... keeps u company... inspires u...and so on,,,and most of all makes us all feel part of the same family... the music behind it was awesome too..the acoustics...simply great..making it one of the best adverts i've seen in a long time... cant really think of anythin else to write at the moment... so will stop here.. but actually feel i'm forgetting sumthing else..haiz...

Great spirits have always encountered opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly.
